Montag
Das Wetter ist durchzogen und neblig. Heute werde ich Brot backen. Der
Kohleherd heizt dann das ganze Haus wunderbar. Der Teig Kneten gibt schon
mal warm, diesmal ein ganzes Kilo je halb weiss- und halb Vollkornmehl, so
rentiert sich das anheizen wenigstens.
Nachmittags schreibe ich etwas am Text fürs Internet und suche mit Beat
Photos aus.
Danach einen kurzen Spaziergang am silbrigen Strand von Horseshoe Bay. Wir
haben wieder einige schöne Muscheln darunter eine Arabic Volute mit
schöner Zeichnung gefunden.
Heute haben wir uns keinen Apero verdient, wir waren zu faul um gross
hinaus zugehen. Der Ofen wird und wird nicht warm. Schliesslich wird es
22.30 bis ich die Brote hinein schieben kann. Muss sie in der Halbzeit
umplatzieren, sonst verbrennt das Hintere. Kommen aber nach 50 Minuten
schön knusprig wieder heraus. |
Monday
The weather is a bit cool and misty. I shall bake bread today. The coal
range then heats up the whole house wonderfully. Already the kneading of
the dough keeps me warm. This time I take a full kilo of flour, a half
white and a half wholemeal this way the whole firing of the range pays
off. In the afternoon I write some text for the Internet and select photos
for it with Beat. A short stroll on the silvery beach of Horseshoe bay
gives us some air. We find some lovely shells, one of them an Arabic
volute with darks signs, which look like Arabic letters. Today we haven’t
earned ourselves drinks before dinner. We were too lazy. The oven does not
heat up as expected, and the clock shows 22.30 until we can finally put
the bread in it. At half time I have to swap the font one with the one in
the back. Otherwise it gets burned. After 50 minutes, they come out lovely
brown and crusty. |
